QMS & IMS for Medicines Control Agency
West African Health Organisation (WAHO)
Overview
WAHO sought to strengthen the regulatory capacity of The Gambia's Medicines Control Agency, which ensures the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products. 2M Corp delivered two parallel systems.
The Information Management System provided comprehensive documentation management, a framework for inter- and intra-agency communication, Standard Operating Procedures, user manuals, and staff training. The Quality Management System transitioned the MCA from manual processes to a digital platform with document archival and retrieval, QMS-specific SOPs, and comprehensive user training.
Impact
The systems strengthened The Gambia's pharmaceutical regulatory infrastructure, contributing to public health outcomes and supporting WAHO's mandate of harmonising health regulations across West Africa.
